Shanid Gafur

As Fellow of Software Architecture at Comcast, Shanid sets technology strategy and architecture for the company’s Marketing, Sales, and Customer Experience Platforms. He brings more than 20 years of experience in enterprise architecture and digital transformation, including 15 years at Comcast. He previously served as Distinguished Architect, Commerce Platforms, directing architecture and solution strategy across an organization of 350+ technologists.

Shanid’s current work centers on AI-driven transformation of the enterprise: defining the strategy for an AI-native enterprise, augmenting marketing, sales, and CX workflows with agentic AI, and guiding the re-architecture of Comcast’s enterprise back office. In prior roles at Comcast, Shanid was involved in enterprise cloud transformation at Comcast, migrating core platforms to the public cloud for cost governance, and drove digital transformation across the company’s e-commerce and digital marketing businessess.

Shanid holds a Certificate in AI Strategy from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics Engineering from Cochin University of Science & Technology. He is based out of the Philadelphia area where he lives with his wife and two children.
