Shweta Vora Shah is a strategic leader with over 15 years of diverse experience across Medical and Commercial functions in the pharmaceutical industry, spanning multiple therapeutic areas. Known for her inclusive and approachable leadership style, Shweta excels in driving cross-functional collaboration and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders across global communities.
She joined Pfizer Inc. in January 2017 as Medical Director for Xeljanz, where she partnered with the consumer marketing team to develop patient-facing marketing materials, including television commercials, websites, and patient educational materials. Her career at Pfizer has included roles such as Medical Planning and Impact Lead for Internal Medicine and Vaccines, Marketing Director for Inflectra (a biosimilar), and the Global mRNA Strategic Insights and Commercial Effectiveness Director supporting the covid-19 vaccine during the pandemic. In this role, she oversaw global supply and allocation logistics, ensured adherence to contractual commitments, and helped establish frameworks for vaccine donations across countries, including support for COVAX, UNICEF, and U.S. government initiatives.
Currently, Shweta serves as the Global Marketing- Launch Operations and Thought Leader Strategy Lead, for Tukysa, a treatment for metastatic breast cancer.
Prior to Pfizer, Shweta held medical roles at Teva, Novartis, and GSK in both Philadelphia and the UK, where she contributed to an FDA advisory committee, review of promotional materials and answered healthcare professional medical information queries.
A passionate advocate for mentorship and diversity, Shweta actively supports women and Asian leaders through her involvement with the Global Asian Alliance. She is also founding a nonprofit, Send-a-Sari, which collects and ships saris from the U.S. to India to empower disadvantaged South Asian communities through sustainability and textile waste reduction.
Shweta holds a Doctorate in Pharmacy from the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers University, completed two years of postgraduate training at University of Kansas Hospital and Baylor University Medical Center/McKesson Medication Management, and earned her MBA from LeBow College of Business at Drexel University.
She resides in Villanova, PA with her husband, daughter (14), and son (12), and enjoys traveling, vegan cuisine, and reality TV.
