Stephen McIlhenny is a biotech executive focused on turning scientific innovation into approved therapies. With 20+ years of experience working at the intersection of Strategy, R&D, and Operations, he has driven impactful advancements across all stages of product development from early discovery through market launch.
He is currently Vice President of Project & Portfolio Management at Madrigal Pharmaceuticals. Previously, he led corporate strategy at Spark Therapeutics, drove translational cell & gene therapy initiatives at CHOP, and advised life sciences companies at L.E.K. Consulting. His early career includes hands-on roles in R&D and manufacturing at Stryker and Integra LifeSciences.
Stephen holds a BS in Biomedical Engineering from Drexel University, a PhD in Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine from Thomas Jefferson University, and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
