Professor Molnar applies economic theory and econometrics in the areas of industrial organization, transportation economics, and international trade. His current work concerns airline incentives in the regulation of airport runways, the impact of rideshare on urban traffic congestion, language barriers to international trade, and the effect of sales tax on supply in an online ecommerce platform. He joined the faculty in 2013, after earning a Licenciatura degree from the Universidad de Buenos Aires and a Ph.D. from Stanford University.
