Kevin Mitchell

Kevin J. Mitchell, PhD, MBA, is an assistant professor in the Health Administration Department. He holds a BS in Public Health, an MBA in Health Services Administration and a PhD in Public Health. He began his career over 30 years ago and has served in various academic, leadership, public health, pharmaceutical, healthcare and health administration roles.

Mitchell aims to “continuously improve health care for the public, in collaboration with other stakeholders, by evaluating health care organizations and inspiring them to excel in providing safe and effective care of the highest quality and value.” (Joint Commission, 2022).

To ensure student success, Mitchell continuously investigates how to nurture thoughtful dialogue. He hopes students will question the status quo through careful and considerate discussion, in order to create timely strategic approaches.
