How to Install MATLAB

MATLAB® is a programming platform designed specifically for engineers and scientists. The heart of MATLAB is the MATLAB language, a matrix-based language allowing the most natural expression of computational mathematics.

Before you Begin

Access to MATLAB requires a MathWorks Account. If you already have a MathWorks account, you can skip this section. If not, you can create a free account using the directions below.

  1. Browse to http://www.mathworks.com.
  2. Select Sign In in the top-right corner.
  3. Select Create Account.
  4. Complete the Create MathWorks Account form using your official @drexel.edu email.
  5. Select Create.

## Download the MATLAB Installer
  1. Browse to http://www.mathworks.com.
  2. Select Sign In in the top-right corner.
  3. Sign on using your MathWorks account.
  4. In the My Software section, select the download icon for the Faculty and Staff license of MATLAB.
  5. Select the version of MATLAB you wish to download.
  6. Select the download for the operating system installed on your computer.

## Install MATLAB
  1. Browse to the location where the MATLAB installer was downloaded.
  2. Launch the installer on and follow the on-screen instructions entering your MathWorks account credentials when prompted.
