Biography

Professional Background I am a Drexel alumnus with over forty-five years of professional experience originating in public accounting at KPMG, primarily in taxation and auditing.

Career Expansion in the Private Sector Following my tenure at KPMG, I transitioned into the private sector, where I developed expertise in corporate turnarounds, start-ups, general corporate management in manufacturing environments, complex financing arrangements, public offerings, international and domestic expert witness work, and extensive SEC and international registration and reporting responsibilities;

Entrepreneurial and Specialized Ventures Additionally, I started a consulting company specializing in business turnarounds, acquisitions, restructuring, and valuation, and also owned and partnered in a minimum-security corrections company that focused on drug and alcohol treatment, operating in compliance with the State of Pennsylvania’s regulations.

Academic Background My public accounting background and extensive experience in corporate business, management, and public office provide a unique skill set to teach students real life accounting at Drexel where my teaching portfolio includes undergraduate financial accounting core courses, intermediate and advanced accounting, MBA financial analysis, and executive education in financial reporting. I have twenty years of full-time teaching experience in academia, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and fifteen years as an adjunct faculty member, primarily at the graduate level, teaching courses in accounting, finance, and statistics at both levels..
