Drexel’s STEM-designated MS in Economics combines advanced economic theory with quantitative analysis to prepare students for careers in industry, consulting, finance, government and research. Students develop expertise in mathematical economics, econometrics and data analysis while learning to evaluate markets, analyze policy and communicate complex economic concepts to diverse audiences. Through applied learning opportunities, including research seminars and internships, students gain practical experience addressing real world economic challenges. The program also provides a strong foundation for doctoral study in economics, business, public policy and related fields, with opportunities to strengthen quantitative preparation through additional mathematics coursework.
