Sharing Excess Case Competition — Presented by DSAB and DCG

Case Scenario: Sharing Excess is exploring a strategic expansion to New York City, and it’s looking to better understand different aspects of this market entry. The nonprofit is particularly interested in what this move would look like financially (projected revenues and costs), who it should develop partnerships with (food donors, volunteer sources, etc.), and what the current market / competitive landscape looks like. Develop a recommendation (via a PowerPoint presentation) to present to Sharing Excess focused on those key areas to aid in its expansion efforts.

Deliverables: 10-minute presentation (Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Slides, etc.)

Teams: Please note that teams may consist of a maximum of five (5) people. There will be a maximum of eight (8) teams allowed into the case competition. Please note that EVERY team member has to submit a sign-up form! If you do not have a team and would like to be placed into a random team, please select that option in this form. This case competition is open to all majors at Drexel University.

Details:
Day One — Q&A (optional): Friday, March 10, 12–2 p.m. (virtual — Zoom link will be sent to participants)
Day Two — Presentations (mandatory): Saturday, March 11, 10 a.m.–2 p.m. (in person)

Prizes:
First Place: $700 (split among # of teammates)
Second Place: $400 (split among # of teammates)
Third Place: $200 (split among # of teammates)

The deadline to register is Feb. 20 at 11:59 p.m.
