Give Socks for a Good Cause

Drexel’s Delta Eta chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi is asking for your socks. Yes, socks.

For the month of October, the fraternity is participating in a variety of philanthropic activities to benefit the area’s homeless, and it’s all a part of Socktober, an initiative spearheaded by Kid President, the Internet sensation and do-gooder, aiming to help the nation’s homeless.

In addition to socks, the Delta Eta chapter is collecting donations of canned foods, toiletries and other cold-weather items to help homeless shelters in the city of Philadelphia. To learn more about the initiative, check out the fraternity chapters Facebook page and watch this video to learn more about the national effort.

In addition to participating in the national Socktober event, the local chapter is heading up its own series of philanthropic events dubbed Red Oktober.
