LeBow College EMBA Student Competes in Business Simulation Competition

November 16, 2006

LeBow College of Business Executive MBA student Michael Dautle placed first in the nation and second internationally in the 13th Annual Foundation International Challenge hosted by Management Simulations, Inc.

Dautle, who was taught by decision sciences professor Dr. Robert Laessig, was one of 678 international student teams that participated in the Capstone and Foundation Challenge, an online competition in which students managed millions of virtual dollars. Previously, the students had learned finance, research and development, marketing and production by using the Capstone Business Simulation and the Foundation Business Simulation in their college courses. Daulte had the highest cumulative profits in the Foundation portion of the competition, placing behind a team a team from the University of Technology in Sydney, Australia.
