Dean's Advisory Board Swaps Stories With Students, Elects New Member

As part of their spring meeting, the members of the Drexel LeBow Dean’s Advisory Board met with a group of undergraduate and graduate students and shared anecdotes and career advice.

The students talked about their most memorable experiences at LeBow, including working on solutions problems with corporate partners, participation in BRIDGE and other learning communities, case competitions, and international residencies.

Eugene Olkhov ’19, a graduate student studying business analytics, said, “My most memorable experience at LeBow so far was the week leading up to our analytics consulting project presentation. It was by far the most difficult week at LeBow I have faced, but it was very fulfilling to have worked so hard in order to deliver useful solutions to the project client.”

Advisory Board Member Mark McAdoo ’87, co-founder, president, and CEO of HealthQx, thanked the dean for providing the opportunity to get to know the students. “This was a great way to bring students and alumni together. As alumni and board members, we are happy to give back by doing what we can to help students to achieve their career goals and ambitions.”

The advisory board also elected a new member, Gianna R. D’Angelo ‘89, MBA ‘91, a principal in KPMG’s CIO Advisory practice, focused on the Healthcare and Life Sciences sector. D’Angelo recently returned from a four-year assignment in Italy and made it a priority to reconnect with LeBow when she was back in the city. “As a ‘Double Dragon,’ it was important to me to re-engage with the College after returning from overseas,” she said. “I look forward to working with Dean Jensen and the other board members on College initiatives.”
