October 10, 2007

Drexel University's LeBow College of Business appears in The Princeton Review's guide Best 290 Business Schools, which was released on Tuesday, October 9.

LeBow College's recognition as a best business school reflects the fact that the College meets The Princeton Review's criteria for academic excellence, as well as positive feedback from students, as student surveys weighed heavily in this ranking.

Students said LeBow College professors are "demanding but fair" and "always willing to answer questions about class work." Students also said they liked LeBow College's location in the University City section of Philadelphia.

In the survey, one MBA student said LeBow's active MBA Association is the "greatest asset of the school," because it offers "networking events, organizes social outings in Philadelphia, finds professional networking opportunities for fellow students, establishes and administers clubs, holds weekly happy hours, liaises between the students and the administration, organizes field trips, and has many other events."

Another MBA student said that the LeBow Career Services Office is "very helpful in providing pointers to enhance my resume as well as providing contact information for companies of interest."

Drexel University's LeBow College of business has a reputation for excellence. With a strong foundation in theory, exposure to the latest technology, and through valuable professional experience, LeBow's business programs are respected worldwide, and Drexel co-ops provide students with the kind of inside look into the business world that few schools can match. Prominent alumni of LeBow College include Raj Gupta, chairman and CEO of Rohm and Haas; Nicholas DeBenedictis, chairman of AquaAmerica; and Elaine M. Garzarelli, former executive vice president of Lehman Brothers and president of Garzarelli Capital Inc.

Over the course of The Princeton Review's three-year cycle, it compiled this list based on surveys of 19,000 students a from more than 290 of the best AACSB-accredited MBA programs in the world and gathered statistical information on many more in order to give readers the widest possible base of information for selecting the right business school for them. The ranking lists are based on surveys of business school students conducted during the 2006-07, 2005-06 and 2004-05 academic years.
