Drexel MBAs Go Trekking Around the Globe

Drexel University's LeBow College of Business One-Year MBA cohort 3 and Techno MBA Online cohort 8 immersed themselves in the business culture of Paris, France; Budapest, Hungary; Stockholm, Sweden and Helsinki, Finland this spring.

The One-Year MBA students, accompanied by Kris Risi, began their trip in Paris, in March, and participated in an intensive academic component and attended business visits at Microsoft, Sanofi Aventis, and Rohm and Haas’ manufacturing facility in Chauny, France. In Budapest, students attended lectures at the Central European University and visited Trigranit, Dreher Brewery, and IBM. The visit to Budapest coincided with the Budapest Spring Festival which enabled students to enjoy the music, wonderful food, and immerse themselves in Hungarian culture.

The Techno MBA Online students visited with U.S. Ambassador to Finland and Drexel alumnus Earle I. Mack '59 during their international residency, hosted by the Helsinki School of Economics. Students had the opportunity to meet with another Drexel alumnus Tom Simonson ‘84, Vice President, Global Competitive Strategy for IBM. Students attended classes and participated in site visits to Nordea Bank,the largest bank in the Baltic region, and Nokia, the world's leading mobile phone supplier and a leading supplier of mobile and fixed telecom networks including related customer services.
