Inside the MS in Sport Business Curriculum

You’ll examine the unique role of sports within society while developing a strong understanding of sport markets, pricing strategies and marketing principles. Throughout the curriculum, you’ll learn to apply business concepts to the challenges facing today’s sport organizations through coursework that emphasizes practical problem solving and experiential learning.

Courses are delivered online through lectures, discussions and collaborative projects. Students work closely with faculty and peers while applying classroom concepts through consulting projects, practicums, residency experiences and other hands-on learning opportunities.

You’ll graduate prepared to:

  • Apply core business functions (e.g., finance, marketing, operations) and analytical tools to sport organization decision-making.
  • Analyze the relationship between sport and society to evaluate social, cultural and economic impacts.
  • Evaluate strategic and operational challenges facing sport organizations.
  • Apply leadership principles to inform decision-making in sport organizations.
  • Design sport marketing strategies based on market analysis and consumer behavior.
