Allowing a non-Drexel Participant to Join a Restricted Drexel-only Zoom Meeting

Before a non-Drexel participant can enter a restricted Drexel-only Zoom meeting, you and the guest participant(s) will first need to agree on a communication method for accessing the meeting. This can be be done either by specifying a time when the Authenticated Users restrictions are removed or providing something like a phone number where the guest(s) can contact you when ready.

Temporarily Disabling Authenticate Users Security

  1. While the meeting is in session, browse to https://drexel.zoom.us.
  2. Select Sign In Standard and sign in with your Drexel credentials.
  3. Select Meetings from the menu on the left.
  4. Browse to the current meeting (it will have a green dot next to it) and select it.
  5. Scroll to the bottom of the meeting page and select Edit this Meeting.
    • If you are editing a recurring meeting, you will be prompted to choose which meeting to edit. For meeting security, select Only this meeting.
  6. Scroll down to Meeting Options and uncheck the Only authenticated users can join: People signed in with DrexelConnect option.
  7. Select Save.

Once Authenticated Users is disabled, your guest(s) will be able to join the meeting.

Re-Enabling Authenticated Users Security
