The LeBow College of Business has once again maintained its business accreditation from AACSB International – The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business – following a multi-year internal review process and a peer review visit in March. The Close School of Entrepreneurship also received accreditation, becoming the only accredited independent school of entrepreneurship.

“This reaccreditation is a testament to the continuing strength and relevance of our academic programs and scholarship,” said LeBow Interim Dean Vibhas Madan, PhD. “LeBow’s outstanding faculty and staff are committed to shaping the future of business education, focusing on evidence-based, cutting-edge research, driving curriculum innovation in response to evolving market needs, and creating a co-curricular environment that ensures student success.”

AACSB accreditation, a distinction achieved by only 5 percent of the world’s schools offering business degrees at the bachelor’s level or higher, reflects an institutional commitment to continuous improvement. LeBow’s accreditation remains in effect for the next five years.

The AACSB peer review report called out LeBow’s focus on cooperative education and high level of industry engagement, noting LeBow’s Dornsife Office for Experiential Learning as an extension of this focus. The review also commended the College’s continuous innovation of curriculum and programs and the supportive and engaging environment provided by student learning communities.

Additionally, LeBow’s support for high-quality research and increased research productivity was praised, as well as its 14-point increase in the UT-Dallas Top 100 Business School Research Rankings since the last accreditation period.

Founded in 1916, AACSB International is the longest serving global accrediting body for business schools that offer undergraduate, master’s, and doctorate degrees in business.
