Drexel University’s STEM designated MS in Accounting prepares students to apply advanced accounting standards and professional judgment to analyze and resolve complex business challenges. Through a curriculum that combines accounting expertise with emerging technologies, you’ll learn to use data analytics, data visualization, machine learning and other technology tools to acquire, prepare and evaluate financial and operational data that supports better business decisions.

Inside the MS in Accounting Curriculum
The curriculum develops your ability to apply professional standards, including relevant codes of conduct, to address complex accounting challenges with integrity, regulatory awareness and responsible use of data and AI. Throughout the program, you’ll also strengthen your ability to communicate technical and analytical findings through written, visual and oral formats for professional audiences.
You’ll graduate prepared to:
- Apply accounting principles and professional judgment to analyze and resolve complex business issues.
- Acquire, prepare, and evaluate financial and operational data using data analytics, visualization, machine learning, and emerging technologies.
- Apply professional standards including relevant codes of conduct.
- Communicate technical and analytical findings in an audience appropriate professional format.
Note: Beginning in Fall 2027, Drexel University will transition to a semester-based academic calendar as part of its broader Academic Transformation.
