Graduate with as much as 18 months of experience in the workplace
Co-op — short for cooperative education — is a program that provides students the opportunity to alternate academic study with up to 18 months of full-time employment, gaining practical experience in their field of study prior to graduation. Students on co-op have the opportunity to test career options and experience working full-time in a professional environment.
The Dana and David Dornsife Office for Experiential Learning provides business recommendations for organizations and practical opportunities for students. Through innovative curricula, business consulting projects, international experiences and co-curricular programming, experiential learning connects academia and industry, impacting students and organizations alike.
The Baiada Institute is the hub of student innovation at Drexel. As part of the Charles D. Close School of Entrepreneurship, the Baiada Institute empowers students from every major to launch and grow their ventures. With access to mentorship, funding, competitions and a vibrant entrepreneurial community, you’ll gain the tools and support you need to bring your ideas to life.
The Baiada Institute hosts competitions that provide an educational and experiential approach for students and recent grads to turn ideas into startups.
Through Close School of Entrepreneurship funding opportunities and competitions, Drexel students can apply classroom lessons in real-world scenarios.
The student-managed Dragon Fund, an equity portfolio specializing in mid-cap stocks, was started in 2007 with just $250,000. It has grown to more than $3.7 million while teaching students proficiency in financial software, asset allocation, modeling and more.
The Howley Finance Academy is a selective program for high-achieving LeBow undergraduates interested in careers in private equity, investment banking and private markets. Through specialized coursework, professional programming and engagement with industry leaders and alumni, students strengthen their quantitative skills, deepen their understanding of financial markets and gain practical experience that complements the finance curriculum.
Students who add a global experience to their undergraduate program are able to gain a unique perspective of the world. Spending time immersed in another culture pushes students outside their comfort zone so they can develop new strengths and knowledge. From global classrooms to international consulting residencies to study abroad options, there is no shortage of opportunities to add a global experience to a Drexel LeBow experience.
One of the best parts of LeBow is getting to meet and work with so many people that are willing to help and who you can look up to. I never thought I could present our research at a global conference — it was an incredible experience.

The Students Tackling Advanced Research (STAR) Scholars Program is an opportunity for highly motivated first-year students to engage in an early faculty-mentored undergraduate research, scholarship or creative experience during the summer after their first year. This program encourages you to take a hands-on approach to your education through undergraduate research and complete faculty-mentored research activities.
